FAQ
Does rangebound need my wallet?
No. rangebound never asks you to connect a wallet or sign anything. All positions are public on chain, so any wallet can be looked up by its address.
Can rangebound move or manage my funds?
No. rangebound only reads public data. It has no access to any wallet and places no trades.
Why is a pool's fee APR so different from what my position earns?
Fee APR spreads a pool's fees over all its liquidity, including liquidity far from the price that earns nothing. A concentrated position near the price earns much more per dollar while in range, and nothing while out of range. Active APR and the range planner get closer to what a position earns. See Fees, volume and APR.
Why does a pool read thousands of percent APR?
Usually because the window is short. One large swap in a 5-minute window, annualised, looks enormous. Switch to 24h. Young positions do the same on wallet pages: a few hours of fees annualised can read very high.
My position isn't showing. Why?
- It is in a pool rangebound doesn't track. See Supported venues and assets.
- It is worth less than $500.
- It was opened in the last hour and the scan hasn't reached it yet.
- It is closed. Closed positions can't be found on chain once their NFT is burned.
My P&L says "changed since read · updating". What does it mean?
Your position changed on chain, for example you added liquidity, and its history is being read again. Until then rangebound shows the last complete reading, so a top-up doesn't show as profit. It usually updates within the hour.
What does "approx" mean next to a P&L?
One deposit or withdrawal moved only one token and no nearby swap gave its exact price, so it was valued at the edge of the range. The figure is close, but not exact.
Why is there no vol ratio for some pools?
Vol ratio needs listed options on the underlying stock or ETF, and at least a day of fee history. Some underlyings have no listed options, and new pools need time.
Is vol ratio a buy signal?
No. It compares how well the pool and the options market pay for the same risk over the last week. It says nothing about where the price goes, and a Well paid pool can lose money in a big move. See Vol ratio.
Are the meme numbers the whole meme market?
No, only memes paired against tracked tokenised stocks that pass the counting rules and the honeypot screen. Memes named after a stock but paired against SOL are left out on purpose: their trades don't pass through the stock's pools.
How current is the data?
Pool prices and fees update every 30 seconds, positions hourly, memes every 5 minutes, options every 30 minutes in US market hours. A banner appears if data is more than 5 minutes old. See Data sources and freshness.
Where are my Customise settings and watchlist stored?
In your browser only. They don't follow you to another browser or device, and nothing about them is sent to rangebound.
Is this financial advice?
No. See the disclaimer.
