# Alerts

rangebound sends alerts to Telegram when something happens that is worth a look before the next time you open the app.

## Pool alerts

| Alert | When it fires |
|---|---|
| **Fee spike** | A pool's fee APR over the last hour is at least 50% and more than three times its 24-hour rate. Pools under $50,000 of TVL are skipped, and each pool alerts at most once an hour |
| **Lookalike mint** | A new token appears using the name of a tracked asset but isn't the issuer's real token. It is excluded from every figure |

A fee spike is a burst, not a new normal. It is often a meme spike, a news move on the stock, or the US market opening.

## Meme alerts

| Alert | When it fires |
|---|---|
| **Graduation** | A launchpad meme graduates into a pool against a tracked asset |
| **Market cap crossing** | A counted meme crosses $100,000 or $1,000,000 in market cap for the first time after rangebound saw it below that level |
| **Volume spike** | A counted meme trades at least $50,000 in an hour, and at least four times its average hourly volume over the last day. At most once every six hours per meme |

When rangebound first starts tracking memes, it records the ones already there without alerting, so alerts only cover genuinely new events.
